The famous Gentle Author who writes the famous blog ‘Spitalfieldslife.com’ visited House Mill and published an article on his blog about our wonderful building, helping to spread the word to his many followers across the world.
Three videos from Bill Viola’s Transfiguration Series will be on display at House Mill as part of ‘The Line’ Art Trail. The installation will be open from May 26 to August 28 and is open to the public for free. Transfiguration shows apparitions slowly emerging from complete darkness and moving towards the viewer. The bodies move from obscurity to clarity – from death to life – and back again. Viola captures the figures contemplating their journey between two realms and in the process urges us to confront the significant questions about our existence, through subtle metamorphoses.

Makers at The Mill returned for their 4th exhibition to the beautiful gallery space at House Mill. The exhibition runs for 2 weeks from Friday 18 September to Sunday 27 September and is open from 11am to 5pm. It showcases the talents of a group of London based artists and designer-makers. This year’s collections feature ceramics, jewellery, metal-engraving, print-making, painting, photography, textiles and wire sculpture and everything is for sale. It’s a great chance to see art and heritage in seamless harmony.
